Bio-Summary

Doctor Jaymoe (born James Ling’o Maring on January 1, 1994) is a South Sudanese Afrobeats and Afropop artist, founder of Classic Legendary Legacy. Born in Uganda and raised amidst the chaos of civil war in South Sudan, his early life was shaped by conflict, displacement, and survival.

After fleeing war-torn South Sudan and spending a decade in Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp, Doctor Jaymoe found hope through music. His journey began in a church choir and evolved into a powerful musical voice that blends African rhythms with deeply personal storytelling.

In 2012, he resettled in the U.S., where his experiences fueled his rise as an artist. Today, Doctor Jaymoe creates music that speaks to resilience, identity, and the unbreakable human spirit — echoing the struggles of his past and the strength of his journey.
